Just a normal Thursday...

Last Thursday, I took Estella in for her 18 mo checkup. On the way, I was on the phone with my mom and talking about the steps we were taking to prepare for our upcoming move and that we recently scheduled the movers for the end of June, yada yada yada.. completely unsuspecting of how these plans would completely change within the hour.

While Estella and I were visiting with the doctor, Luke had been called into a meeting where he was asked if he would be willing to go out to Israel early.. and that they needed him to fly out on Tuesday(yesterday)! 4.5 days from then!! Talk about a flood of emotion for me! Logistically it makes the most sense for him to go out there early and us join him later, but of course there are challenges and disappointment having to be apart for the next several weeks. It has been a whirlwind the past several days, but I thrive when I'm busy and have quick deadlines to meet. Without listing all the details, Luke has since landed in Israel with no problem. In fact, everything he's been saying sounds great! We are just so excited about this new adventure and cannot wait to join him.

In the meantime, Estella, Meatloaf, and I are in Arizona while the house gets packed up. We will be on the road to Oklahoma this Friday(hopefully)! It will be nice to see all our friends and family throughout Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas over the next month or so. Not to mention, be present for all my sister's wedding festivities and planning! I shouldn't be surprised by this, but I find myself constantly amazed by God's timing. I am just so thankful for the way things work out and pleased with how seamless this newly implemented plan has been. It just seems right, ya know?

Our family move date was set for July 15th. Until they say otherwise, we are operating as this is still the case. Luke will come back stateside to see family/friends and then fly Estella and I back out with him around the middle of July.

During our time in Israel, Meatloaf will be on holiday down in Maypearl, Tx with family.  Out of all the planning for this opportunity, this is the element that has been the hardest. Meatloaf has been with Luke and I since our Junior year of college. I know he will love being with Patti and Greg. They have a great house, spacious land, time to spend with him... basically, he will be so very loved and cared for. The conditions we're leaving him under, makes it easier to be away from him, but its still a bummer he can't make this move with us.
..Haha that dog has moved so much!! He's lived in: Stillwater, Edmond, Dallas, Augusta, Bellefonte, Reston, and Queen Creek. He's flown and rode along all over the country as we've traveled, and will hopefully bring his seasoned traveling experience to our next location when we return from Tel Aviv...

Back to Luke, he is checked in to his hotel and about to go to dinner with the other HP guys on the pier. He says the view is incredible (and so was the traffic!). I will post pics soon!! I'm eager to see them and share them with you!!

L'chaim!
