I'm pretty tired so I won't write much. Here are pics from the relaxing part of our day..
Good Morning!! Boker Tov!

We walked down to our closest beach

This park was recently (within the past 10 or so years) converted from a wasteland
Too rocky for Estella
But she didn't want to leave the water
:-)
EV loved being in the sea so much, this evening we walked over to one with better sand
We stopped on our way home to have dinner in Old Jaffa
For those who have messaged about tonight's attack from Gaza-- thank you for your care and concern. We were warned and we took shelter. It was scary but we were all together and were/are safe. Someone cannot compare natural disasters with terrorism-so understand I am not trying to do so. I am just going to try to my best ability to describe what the warnings are like. Keep in mind I have only known sirens for one threat in my life--and that is tornados. Very similar to the tornado warning sirens, there are sirens that go off to warn you that airborne objects are going to be blocked by the iron dome. It's an invisible force field/robotic launcher that doesn't allow the hate being fired from Gaza, to land. I do not want to take away from the seriousness of this matter, because for the times the sirens do sound it is very unnerving and hard to comprehend that anyone could do such a thing. Please just know that this defense system is very good--there have been very few injuries and I believe (zero?) deaths from any rockets fired on this side since this conflict. To put it into perspective, the local news where you live likely has stories of victims due to hate with tragic outcomes. Hate-It's awful. Anywhere, everywhere. :-(
Even with a newly discovered thing to add to my long list of scary threats in life (as if Arizona Bark Scorpions weren't enough...for those who know me well, know) We are loving our time here and will make the most of this opportunity, as we always do. We are thankful for our family and friends--new, old, near, & far especially because a move of this magnitude has all sorts of challenges. We are fortunate to have y'all. Your love and support means the world to us<3
So much for a short post...
Tomorrow Luke starts his work week and things will start to fall into routine.. I love and appreciate how hard he works for us but at the same time I wish he could spend all day with us, everyday!
Goodnight! I'll post about our mall visit and driving tomorrow.

Emily, you make me want to visit Israel! Your pictures are a whole other side I've never seen before! Take care and enjoy! Denise Murdock
